A Shooting Event for People Who Appreciate and Collect Fine Double Shotguns.
2011 Southwest Double Gun Expo
Come take your best shot at this exciting fundraising event! The Southwest Double Gun Expo takes place at the Ben Avery Sporting Clays Facility in Phoenix, Arizona, during the last Saturday of February. This unique event, sponsored by the Men’s Arts Council and benefitting the Phoenix Art Museum, will take place under the backdrop of the rugged mountains and impressive scenery of the Sonoran Desert. It will feature a full day of first-rate shooting, scrumptious food, and the camaraderie of fellow double gun enthusiasts.
The cost to take part in this Sporting Clays Event is $125 and participating shooters will receive a practice round of 60 targets and one competition round with 60 targets. This distinctive fundraiser will feature double barrel, break action shotguns of which may be either over/under or side-by-side, with or without hammers. Along with a vendor tent featuring fine firearm retailers, shooting accessories, sporting publications and art, participants will be able to shoot the Driven Clays Flurry and High Pheasants stations. At Ben Avery, adjacent to the tent, there will be a location sectioned off for shooters to display their treasured firing pieces. Trophies will be offered in the categories of Side by Side (hammer or hammerless) and Over/Under shotguns.
